Gruppenausstellung, Gallery.Delivery, Berlin

Gallery.Delivery is an art exhibition and a performance that can be ordered online. It will be delivered in an all-white food bag by a bike messenger and will be temporarily installed in the orderer’s apartment.

Gallery.Delivery applies the concept of instant delivery logistics to the exhibition space and the format of the group show. However, unlike normal delivery services, the deliverer does not stop at the doorstep and instead enters the private home. There, the process of setting up the exhibition becomes visible as a performative aspect of the show.

Le Grand Monnayage

Le Grand Monnayage

Biennale d’art contempoirain de Melle

Statement

The city of Melle is unique because of the presence of its mines and its minting which placed it in the heart of Europe for centuries. Quickly, this specificity of the city seemed to us a quite contemporary angle which allowed us to approach subjects such as money, exchange, circulation, value and quite simply stone and ore.

With „Le Grand Monnayage“ we had this desire to tell stories and share experiences and as such Melle is a considerable source of inspiration. Here, no white cubes, but a multitude of heritage places open to artists and visitors: three Romanesque churches, one of which was a prison, an ancient court that inspired Jean de La Fontaine, and the silver mines, forgotten for several centuries, which remind us that Melle was the city whose production of silver and coins was the most important in all Western Europe at the time of Carolingians and until the tenth century.

Melle and its many curiosities are a reality that one contemplates only by staying there. Carried by the stories specific to each place, the artists‘ investment in this adventure has been total. Fascinated by the Mines, walking the streets of Melle, taking advantage of this unique framework of creation and exchanges, they have made the city a place of projects and production, a territory of art.

Otra visita a la escultura

Otra visita a la escultura

Laboratorio ArteAlameda, Mexico city
29.6. – 2.9.2018
Inauguracion: 28 de junio 19:30 h

curated by: Violeta Horcasitas

with:
Aram Bartholl, Detanicolain, Gino de Dominicis, Roberto Garcia Hernandez, VerOnica Gerber Bicecci, Julieta Gil, Lindsay Lawson, Sara Ludy, Lina Mazenett & David Quiroga, Lorna Mills, Sabrina Ratte, Jason Ronallo, Miguel Angel Salazar, Rick Silva

From the Earth, it seems that it is the Sun that revolves around the planet, it is a so-called apparent movement that gives rise to another concept which is solar time. Two categories have been created to measure this time: true solar time and average solar time. The first one, is based on direct observation, i.e. what we could see thanks to a sundial; the second is based on a so-called fictitious sun, which would be a sun „moving“ at a constant speed around the earth all year round.

Another visit to the sculpture is an exhibition that talks about error and success and brings together the work of artists from different generations, but above all, that work from different artistic practices: contemporary artists, visual artists, visual artists or post-internet dialog about repetition, attempts and processes. The pieces move between the dichotomy of the exact and the vague while blurring that dividing line when generating, almost like a sculptural act, a discovery. Some of the pieces can be stated as philosophical, scientific or mathematical axioms as they build and mold matter, whether it’s digital or analog.

Another visit to the sculpture subverts the title of one of the pieces included in the exhibition, which in turn, is based on and modifies the title of one of the pieces. Don Martin’s comic strip: Another visit with the sculptor. It is the story of an artist who after finishing what he considers his masterpiece, shares his work with a collector. For a brief moment, he is recognized by the magnificence of his work. Seconds The sculptor is then surprised to realize that what the collector sees is a residue of marble on the floor and not the sculpture. that he considers his greatest work of art.

We are the internet! Our world is changing. We are witnessing a revolution that for the last thirty years has been changing how we think, communicate, work, and spend our free time. The internet has become a tool and instrument of daily life. It has created a world that we plumb and simultaneously run away from. This process is irreversible and has permanently changed how our society works. This is one of the reasons why it is important to reflect on our situation and our position within it: we aren’t only witnesses to the digital transformation, we are all a part of it, passive or active.

Welcome to the data world! The #DATAMAZE project presents an “extended exhibition”. It combines the concept of an exhibition that is a work in progress with a workspace and library intended for activities and developing collaboration across areas and topics related to a critical reflection on our existence environment, with a lecture space.

April 6 – Mai 6, 2018

Statement:

While Facebook apologizes to the world from high up on its mountain of data, 1.4 billion user passwords party naked on the Internet. Research has shown that the ’123456′ is used for 17% of all passwords. There is so much free WiFi in the air to catch you, it is almost impossible to get online. But there is coffee, so you stay for the deep pocket packet inspection of your traffic. Is this you in the video? Don’t click the link I sent you!

Like the pigeons’ best friend, CCTV cams squat in every high corner of the city protecting us from the future. Will they fall off or be released from their stoical non-presence? A total of 750 info screens have been removed from the still closed / never opened BER airport in Berlin because the technology is outdated. The screens had been running for six years straight without anybody ever having looked at them. Yes, I saw this already.

Please place all your bags on the left tray. Mirrored self-checkout in an uberficial life without cueing is on autoplay. 24 likes. Thank you for being our customer today.

Your parcel has been delivered (to your neighbour)

20.1.2018, 7:00 pm – Installation/performance – ‘Your parcel has been delivered (to your neighbour)’

For his ongoing installation Aram Bartholl collects different objects and materials of the contemporary commerce and public space to rearrange them at the exhibition space. The elements refer to radical shifts in markets, rising control and a life under the influence of constantly improved algorithms, startup pressure and ‘bullshit jobs’. Over the period of the exhibition the installation is rearranged and changes in dialogue with the audience.

25.1.2018, 7:00 pm – Workshop – ‘Got a few minutes?’

Got a few minutes? is an open workshop format which invites the audience to experiment in a series of actions and micro performances. With different tasks involving a range of contemporary devices and objects the participants execute and invent unique interactions. Consume, control and privacy are some of the core topics which serve as a basis for this examination of the hyper commercial contemporary life.

12V Guard Diary

This tablet was part of the installation “12V” at Skulptur Projekte Münster 2017 last summer. It was used to show vistors the offline PDF data base from the router on the TV tower. The guards who had to take care of the work and explained to visitors everything also started to use it on their own initiative as a video / picture log. This became a beautiful summary of a summer full of work, joy, desperation; an unfiltered view of the site specific art work, visitors, neighborhood kids and nature with cable and stove. Thanks to all of you who endured the long hours at this crazy location out of Münster. ;))
