Merkel and Blair with Speech Bubble
My project Speech Bubble seems to be quite popular among all these advertising and event companies. That was fast. Two weeks ago I did the Speech Bubble performance at the Plazes party and last weekend Merkel and Blair posed with quite similar speech bubbles during a press conference. The corner points in the wrong direction but the size and proportion are very well copied. Good job! Unfortunately they were not smart enough to have them float above the head. Does somebody know the lead design agency of VENRO (financed by Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung)?
Thx to ka_pony for the link.
Pic of the day: WoW
Since my project WoW I more aware of this expression. I missed to take a pic of that Microsoft WoW compaign some months ago. Is the term WoW more popular since World of Warcraft became so popular?
Connecting first and second life
Via Joshua Kauffman I found this very interesting talk of Matt Biddulph
about Second Life, rapid prototyping and Arduino boards. His movie about creating objects in Second Life by script is astonishing. Yes i agree, the combination of affordable prototyping printers in the future, growing 3D environments and the popular DIY low tech hack culture will create unforeseen possibilties. It’s going to be fun …
Pic of the day: Drawing
Nice drawing by Rod McLaren who posted a summary and sketches of some talks of the reboot 9.0 conference last week. I ike the one line unfinished drawing style a lot. God portrait, my typical hair curl/wave and FPS.

Reboot 9.0
I just came back from the Reboot conference in Copenhagen. Thomas Madsen-Mygdal invited me to show my projects among the web 2.0 ( a term wich is not allowed to say any more) high society ;-)
It was a lot of fun. I had many interesting conversations and learned quite something about the latest web developments. My favorite talk was the interview of David Winer the creator of rss, podcasting and many other web inventions yesterday afternoon. On the question if he was doing all this to make a better world he said “No, I am doing this just for fun.” A very honest answer. I liked his attitude a lot.
