"1H"

with 4 comments

I’ll present my upcoming project “1H” during the monthly “World of Warcraft – special” TV show at Giga Games tonight at 8 p.m. (cet) . For this reason I had a shooting today. Me walking a scale 1:1 WoW-“Ripsaw” in downtown Cologne. It was fun.
More details live …

Tune in at 8 pm on Giga live stream
( mms://stream.giga.de/GIGA )

[Unfortunately I’ll miss Corys “Upload” book presentation at exactly the same time here in Cologne]

I found a simple way to deal with the cheap PC-case which came with the new hardware. I like case modding. ;-)

(Yes, I still need a floppy drive.)

Kaffeelatte

without comments

I went to Kunst-Werke Berlin lately to see the exhibition “…5 minutes later”. My favorite piece was the installation by Thomas Rentmeister.

Later I found this piece on his website. Coffie with milk is the most important accessoire in Berlin Mitte. German “latte” is a wooden rod. ;-)

And by the way. Yes, I do know Angela Bullochs’ piece “Z-point”. People keep asking me that.
(Although i didn’t know it when I created TV-Filter in 2006, anyway…)

Franko Dodonpa made an effort and built an 5×8 pixel iPod Touch filter. Very nice!

“Skype is a snitch.”

with one comment

I am not very good in tracking birthdays of friends, there always manybirthdays in spring. Addtionally skype notifies you when one of your contacts has birthday. Very handy but is it correct? Do I want that? Did I ask skype to tell everybody it s my birthday? Hmm … do I have to respond to a note because I know that he knows that I know …
I decided run an experiment. Since 5 days it s my birthday every day on skype. I got some messages, comments, emails and even phone calls. Some people were doubting, some noticed on the 3rd day. It was fun.

“Skype is a snitch.” Marius posted in a comment, very true.
(Btw, my birthday is on 27.12.)

"Second City" documentation

without comments

I finally managed to put together a documentation about Second City Ars Electronica 2007. The festival invited me to make a design for Marienstrasse, to show my work and to involve other artists in collaboration for the Second City all relating to metavers and Second Life.

Pics info and more on the project page.

I had a great team! Thx to everybody!

"not so green"

without comments

I like this a lot! “Not so green” collects plain aerial pictures from flickr users and other services and then matches the exact location and view angle on the virtual globe Google Earth. A typical AramBarthol-real/virtual-style comparison. ;-)
